What We Do
Chapel by the Sea funds various projects with the aim of supporting and strengthening the Bondi community. It is important to us to improve social wellbeing and care for nature so that we all may live in a more peaceful, healthier world.
We recognise that many people are in need of support; physically, mentally and spiritually. Our centres offer a helping hand with those going through difficulty. Norman Andrews House provides meals, facilities, activities and access to specialist services and referrals.
We also run two childcare centres, op shops, host events with an array of professional speakers and are building a community garden.
Chapel by the Sea’s vision has always included every part of the community. Our Community Development program is dedicated to creating opportunity to connect to other members in our local area. Activities and events help reduce isolation and bring a sense of community that we often overlook but remember with nostalgia. The Chapel is bringing that back into our present day, in order to fulfil that deep sense and need for belonging.
Our events are as diverse as the people who come through our doors. Whether its theatre productions, community lunches, play groups, inter-agency gatherings, movie nights and art shows, the events provide a unique opportunity to bring people into the Chapel for a more inclusive community.
