Between now and December, Dick Smith Foods will donate part of $1 million to up to 74 charities and YOU get to decide where the money will go. We hope it's us!
Here's how:
1. Take a photo of any Dick Smith Foods product in your pantry
2. Email it to [email protected]
3. Nominate the charity of your choice
By the end of June, $500,000 will be divided between the 37 charities with the most votes. And in December the other $500,000 divided again.
We have registered Norman Andrews House, our drop-in centre for the homeless and disadvantaged of Bondi and hope to get your votes. The money we'd receive would go towards getting new computers so our Norman Andrews House service users can get access to information, learn computer skills, access to banking services and Centrelink.
In the past few weeks there are been a lot of heated discussion about Australian companies being bought out by foreign investors, namely Qantas and SPC Ardmona. There is a pride to having successful all-Australian brands which contributes to a strong domestic economy. Dick Smith Foods are "As Australian As You Can Get" whereby 95% of what Australians spend on their products stay here in Australia.
Dick Smith Foods are still stocked in Coles, Woolworths and IGA though they are sometimes hard to find. However if you do take a photo of it to participate in Dick Smith Foods $1 Million to Charity program.
