7pm, Sunday 16 March 2014 Chapel by the Sea, 95 Roscoe St Bondi Professor Sherwood has co-authored over 60 papers published in peer reviewed journals. His 2005 Science paper on atmospheric warming was covered extensively by the international media and the associated study was named as one of the top 100 scientific discoveries of 2005 by Discover magazine. He was also contributing author to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change's (IPCC) Fourth Assessment Report and lead author of the US Climate Change Science Program report Temperature Trends in the Lower Atmosphere: Steps for Understanding and Reconciling Differences His talk on Sunday will be on "Global responsibility - Past, Present and Future" and will take us on his journey through the latest IPCC findings, delivering the history behind such decision making and it's impact upon our earth today. |
